If you think your tree is cool, it's not...unless you have these!Mar 09, 2011
By Mrs. DuBois An absolute must!!! My aunt always had these on her Christmas tree, and I would admire them every time we'd go to her house. Finally, 20 years later, I've purchased a set of my own. (Yes, you will want at least 12)
They are very expensive, so try to buy during the off season. You'll want to get a tree with sturdy limbs to bear the weight of the motors (you'll probably need to trim the limbs to let ornaments spin freely) The motors only plug into certain lights.
I've had difficulty fitting them into any LED strings. Also, if you can, purchase the most recent models, as the older ones are heavier, bulkier, and make a slight whirring sound as they rotate. I put these on our tree in my office and was a bit concerned if they would be distracting during meetings. No one really cared, they were more intrigued with how beautifully they show off glittery ornaments.
These definitely add charm and fantasy to your holiday season, and could probably be used for other events you may be stringing lights for.

By Kris F. Heil Great holiday twirlers that will spin heavy ornaments. The are a little pricey, but they make the ornaments look great.

Christmas MagicJan 09, 2011
By James M. Reid I've used ornamotors on my Christmas trees since they were invented and marketed by Noma decades ago. I LOVE them. I must have 45 of them on my 9'cut Christmas tree this year. It is a great design as they can turn either direction and reverse directions if they get stuck or stopped. I've only had a few burn out over the years. There are so many beautiful ornaments being manufactured that are wonderfully decorated on all sides that the ornamotor is a great way to show off the detail.
If you like movement, you won't be disappointed with ornamotors.
I've recently bought the up and down ornamotor but don't care for them so much as there aren't so many ornaments that are enhanced going up and down...perhaps carousel horses. I just ordered the new lighted ornamotors on Amazon and can't wait to try them out. They come with three led lights to light the ornament as it turns. Quite expensive at $12.50 each and they only come in a pack of a dozen. I expect that they will be something I will enjoy for decades to come.
Actually my Christmas tree is on a turntable that will support 900 lbs. I once had a 22' tall Christmas tree with thousands of lights and candles that revolved in a two story octagon stairway. I adapted this commercial turntable made in Chicago with an electrical outlet the turns with the table. I have a large 'G' gage train at the base of the tree that turns with the tree.
I've not seen a Christmas Tree more magical than mine. It takes me about a week to set it up.
