Sturdy and festiveJul 17, 2010
By A. King
This is a great tree for outdoor decor. I bought it as a gift for a friend whose beach house I am privileged to visit twice a year. It is intended for her porch and I think it will be perfect. It's extremely easy to put together; no tools required. I was pleasantly surprised at its sturdiness. I think if you use the stakes that come with it that it would even hold up well in the yard.

Do not purchase this tree, It is poorly made and the company "Christmas Central"
does not honor defective merchandise ! I bought this tree and 2 of the leaves broke on the first day of use! 129.99 down the drain ! I filed a claim and was denied with no explaination at all. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! Please think twice when ordering anything from this company..........

Made in China-what more do you need to know?Jan 27, 2011

Product was defective out of the box. Cheap materials broke during assembly. No assembly instructions included. U.S. distributor was wonderful, promptly processed a refund and did the honorable thing after seeing a photo of the defective part.

Looks good but flimsy constructionJan 14, 2012
By Paul Bohne
The big palm tree looked great in the yard until a big gust of wind came and knocked it over. The base is flimsy and will barely stand up straight under calm conditions. The 4 big leaves are like sails in the wind. The ground anchors are a joke. They are about 6 inches long and made out of coat hanger wire. The whole thing is made out of lightweight steel that has already begun rusting after a few weeks outside. The parts are only tack welded together. As soon as it tipped over, one of the leaf mounts snapped off and one of the legs on the base snapped its upper attachment. In hindsight, I should have known better than to trust this thing to stand on its own without guy wires or some more substantial base, like one for a patio umbrella. Beware that this will become a useless piece of junk unless you take extra precautions to ensure it won't tip over. Humpty dumpty will not survive a fall.

Love our 7 ft Palm TreeJan 11, 2011
By Gramma Newcomb
This is our 2nd lighted palm tree - our first one lasted almost 4 years and that is a lot considering it was outside and endured all types of inclement weather ( sun, wind, rain) . It gradually wore out but for the money was well worth it. Hopefully this 2nd one will last as long. Makes a pretty addition to our patio. Well pleased. Not sure how durable if you put it up and take it down a lot.
