Sleigh hard to distinguish and too small to match with reindeerDec 12, 2010
By Tim Justice You do get what you pay for. I purchased the sleigh and 3 reindeer (http://www.amazon.com/Lighted-Reindeer-Christmas-Silhouette-Decoration/dp/B002QY18IG/ref=pd_sim_ol_1) together in hopes of combining them to create a larger Christmas scene of the deer pulling the sleigh.
First, be very careful when you consider the dimensions because at first glance you may think the sleigh is easily the same size as the deer. Not the case. The deer are tall while the sleigh is wide. So, when you match them up the sleigh looks too small to be pulled by the deer. This is of course if you can tell what the deer and sleigh are.
Both the sleigh and the deer are hardly recognizable on the house. As a matter of fact you will have to use your imagination to figure out what the silhouettes are supposed to be. This is the results of not enough lights in the displays. It says they have 50 lights, but there's simply too few bulbs and the displays unusual shape, or silhouettes, are too small and unidentifiable to tell what they really are. You may be better off with a star or wreath or something that has a more natural, recognizable shape to start with.
One more word of warning when you go to set them up. The cord and plug on the sleigh is at the back bottom right corner of the display, while the cord and plug for the deer is at the front middle left of the display. If you're hoping to string these together be prepared to run multiple extension cords. However, if you are keeping these indoors on your windows as they are really intended (although they do say outdoor), you shouldn't have much problem running them to a wall outlet.
Good luck.
Oldie but goodieJan 15, 2012
By Free Spirit I like these window decorations much better than the flat neon-looking things that are more commonly sold today. I have this Santa and several reindeer and they look great in my front windows at Christmas.
