My advice when shopping for religious statues:"ALWAYS" look to Joseph's Studios for a sure bet!Jan 17, 2013

If you pull up my amazon.com product review history,you can see just how many Joseph's Studio religious statues I have purchased.I grew up in a home where I was surrounded by tons of Capodimonte porcelain antique figurines.That is what my parents had in their home.These statues are not Capodimonte,but they are of fine quality.When I saw this 15.5" Holy Family Nativity style statue, I figured that it would be a little tall for my home decor.Also,quite honestly,the image on the amazon.com ad seemed to depict the statue as a little light or dull in coloration--compared to the other St. Joseph statues that I own;however,I purchased this item anyway just because "all" of the other Joseph's Statues I own are so beautiful.After it arrived and I saw it,I was sure glad that I did!It was darker with more color contrast than the ad depicted.There are so many different shades of colors that make the statue look like it was hand painted.You can even see Jesus' father's (Joseph's) bare feet and one side of the lantern Joseph is carrying is open-paned to reveal a lit candle.The statue is a nice weight and its base is made so it doesn't easily scratch furniture.Great care is taken in the shipping of every Joseph's Studio item that I ever purchased.I guess that anyone who really appreciates art work would agree on the overall quality of this and other Joseph's Studios items.I do hope that amazon.com makes this item available for sale in the near future as they offered it for a very reasonable price.
